PART HANDLING / AUTO EXTRACTOR

Die Casting Auto Extractor

An auto extractor connects the open die with the next handling operation. Define the component, grip arrangement and removal path before planning its position around the casting machine.

Start with the casting as it leaves the die

The shape to be handled can include runners and other material beyond the finished component. Provide a drawing of that casting and identify where it can be supported or gripped. Explain its orientation in the tool and the direction needed to clear the cavity. Those details frame the extraction task. Include the ejection arrangement and any features that limit the approach, since the equipment needs access to the actual part in its open-die position.

02 / SERIES

Check the removal path through the opening

The machine opening, tool projections and nearby equipment define the space through which the casting travels. Show the proposed extraction route on the cell layout. Include both the position at the die and the position where the part will be released. If the component needs a change of orientation, describe that movement in the enquiry. Keep tool change access visible on the drawing so the handling arrangement can be reviewed with the wider machine installation.

Give the next operation a defined destination

An extractor enquiry should identify where the part goes after removal. YOMATO offers conveyors and hydraulic trimming presses alongside auto extractors. Explain whether the casting will move to a conveyor, a trimming operation or another handling point. Include the support and orientation required at that destination. This connects the equipment discussion to the whole handling sequence and avoids leaving an unexplained transfer between the die casting machine and the work that follows it.

Share the interfaces around the handling task

Prepare the machine identification, tool envelope, casting drawing and floor layout together. Add the positions of the furnace, sprayer and existing auxiliaries. Describe the signals and connection information available for the proposed equipment discussion, particularly when retaining an older part of the cell. State whether you need extraction equipment alone or a broader cell arrangement. With those inputs, the enquiry can focus on how the casting moves through the actual working space.

For castings with different removal orientations, show each intended position. A simple sequence drawing can clarify where the part must clear the tool before moving toward the release point downstream.
