Separate melting from holding in the project brief

Describe the work expected from the furnace. Melting incoming material and holding molten alloy for transfer are related tasks with different roles in the cell. Name the alloy, explain how metal reaches the furnace and describe how it leaves for the casting operation. Identify whether the project concerns a replacement furnace or a new installation. An equipment discussion can then address the required function alongside the casting machine and its feeding arrangement.

Describe utilities and the intended installation

YOMATO lists gas and electric furnace options. Bring the utility information for the proposed site into the enquiry, together with the available installation space and access arrangements. Show where the furnace will sit relative to the machine and other equipment. Include any existing services that the project is intended to use. The floor plan should also explain access for loading material, operating the equipment and reaching the furnace for the maintenance work discussed during selection.

Plan metal transfer as part of furnace placement

The furnace location affects the route to the shot sleeve in a cold chamber cell. Consider that relationship before fixing the position of an auto ladler or other surrounding equipment. Show how the transfer approaches the machine and where personnel need access. Include the movements of sprayers and extractors on the same layout. A connected arrangement makes it easier to discuss the molten metal supply without overlooking the working space needed by the rest of the casting process.

Bring a complete melt supply enquiry

Prepare the alloy designation, description of melting or holding work, intended machine and project location. Add the available utility information and a layout showing the metal transfer route. Explain equipment already installed and any restrictions on replacement or repositioning. Discuss the furnace together with feeding and cell equipment when the project includes those functions. Confirm the proposed configuration and purchasing requirements through a quotation discussion that addresses the actual installation rather than a furnace name alone.

Describe the incoming metal form and how material is introduced to the furnace. That information adds context to the installation discussion alongside the route used to feed the casting machine.
