COLD CHAMBER / MT450
MT450 Die Casting Machine
MT450 evaluation should follow the die from installation to an open, accessible position. The machine serves aluminum, magnesium and copper alloy cold chamber projects. Its tooling dimensions and injection fields provide different selection checks, so bring the complete mould and feed system into the same enquiry.

Assess die installation as a movement
MT450 tie bar spacing is 750x750 mm, with an 1150x1150 mm platen. A static outline does not show every restriction encountered while loading a tool. Include the approach direction, lifting points and protruding components in the installation drawing. Then consider the mould in its final mounted position, where fittings and clamps must remain accessible. The specified mould height window is 350-900 mm. Closed height should include all plates and adapters that stay in the machine during production. Where the tool uses side actions, show their connections and movement envelope. This makes the review about the complete installed assembly instead of just the cavity block. Existing tooling should be accompanied by its present mounting information and any intended interface changes.

Use an injection estimate that includes runners
The MT450 injection unit lists an 80-110 mm plunger diameter range and 5.2-10.4 KG aluminum injection weight. Compare the planned shot with these fields as a connected group. A feed system adds metal beyond the component, while a different alloy changes the meaning of a weight stated specifically for aluminum. Show the cavity arrangement and gating concept with the material designation. The injection force is 650 KN and the injection stroke is 700 mm. Discuss the proposed plunger arrangement together with those fields rather than selecting a value from each line independently. Include section thickness changes, deep ribs and important surface requirements in the part information. They help communicate how the tool needs to fill, instead of reducing the requirement to a target part mass.

Keep the casting and gripper within the opening study
The MT450 clamping stroke is 700 mm; ejection stroke is 170 mm. Track how these movements create access to the part and then release it from the tool. A casting with a wide runner or projecting feature may need a different removal orientation from the final trimmed component. Draw that whole assembly with the proposed gripping position. If an auto extractor is included, its approach and withdrawal should be considered alongside slides and die connections. A sprayer also needs a route to the open die faces. Place the intended tasks in sequence so that peripheral placement reflects what moves, when it moves and where it waits. This can make an equipment enquiry considerably more useful than a list of auxiliary names.

Relate machine placement to downstream work
At 9.0x2.5x3.3 m, the MT450 machine outline is only part of the area required by a working cell. Mark space for furnace access, metal transfer, operators and maintenance before allocating the remainder to conveying or trimming. Identify the point where the extracted casting will be placed and the path it takes afterward. A layout that follows the material can help reveal competing uses of the same floor space. The machine weight is listed as 23000 KG; provide installation information to the site team as part of the project review. For an MT450 quotation, send the alloy, mould dimensions and full shot estimate together with the casting drawing. Describe retained equipment and the project location, and confirm commercial requirements with the enquiry. When developing a new tool, record which assembly dimensions are settled and which remain provisional. A dated revision of the layout can keep later tooling changes from silently altering the assumptions used to compare the machine, extractor and spray access.
