COLD CHAMBER / MT2500

MT2500 Die Casting Machine

The MT2500 is a cold chamber machine within the MT range for aluminum, magnesium and copper alloys. Review it from the production layout inward: determine how material and tooling reach the cell, then compare the die assembly, injection requirement and casting removal path with the machine specification.

Place tool handling beside the mounting review

MT2500 tie bar spacing is 1450x1450 mm, with a 2300x2300 mm platen. Show the proposed die against both dimensions while retaining projections, side actions and mounting hardware in the drawing. The tool loading direction and lifting arrangement matter because the installation path may be more constrained than the final position. Mould height is listed at 700-1500 mm. Confirm the closed stack with permanent adapters and plates included, using the mounting faces as references. Describe access to the tool connections once auxiliaries are installed around the machine. If existing tooling is being transferred, provide its current interface details rather than assuming the main block dimensions settle compatibility. A complete assembly study helps define both how the die fits and how it can be changed.

Connect shot capacity with the proposed cavity system

The MT2500 injection plunger range is 130-170 mm, and aluminum injection weight is 28-56 KG. Compare those fields with a shot estimate that includes the component, runners and other metal required by the tool. Net component weight leaves the feed system out of the selection brief. Identify the alloy and explain whether the gate design has been established. The injection force is 1800 KN with a 1200 mm injection stroke. Treat these as related elements of a configuration discussion alongside the intended plunger. Mark long filling paths, ribs and abrupt section transitions on the part drawing to show what the injection task involves. An application name offers context, but the geometry and complete shot estimate provide the detail needed for a focused technical exchange.

Study handling with the feed system still attached

A 1300 mm clamping stroke and 260 mm ejection stroke are listed for MT2500. Show the casting at the moment it can be gripped, retaining runners and gates that leave the die with it. The extractor approach must accommodate that whole assembly and avoid the tool connections. Draw the withdrawal movement as well as the gripping position. Spraying needs access to the die faces after removal, which can introduce another movement into the same space. Include waiting positions and describe the intended order of tasks. Downstream equipment then needs a defined handover point, whether the casting moves toward a conveyor, cooling area or trimming operation. These details help connect the machine opening to the actual material flow rather than treating extraction as a standalone equipment choice.

Bring utilities and access into the floor layout

MT2500 machine dimensions are 15.5x4.2x4.6 m, and the listed weight is 180000 KG. Use the actual outline when reviewing building access and equipment placement with the installation team. The cell must also accommodate the furnace, ladler and service areas around the machine. Mark utility connection routes so mould temperature control and fluid supply remain accessible. The motor power field is 132 KW, to be reviewed alongside separate requirements from the selected auxiliaries. A complete MT2500 enquiry includes the component drawing, alloy, mould assembly, full shot requirement and site location. Attach a dimensioned floor plan and identify fixed structures or equipment to be retained. This gives the quotation discussion a shared basis for tooling compatibility, machine selection and the surrounding production arrangement. Note the production tasks that require staff to approach the tooling area, including connection checks and planned maintenance. Locating these access needs on the layout can help the equipment discussion avoid treating every unoccupied gap as interchangeable floor space.
