COLD CHAMBER / MT3000

MT3000 Die Casting Machine

MT3000 selection should keep the machine specification tied to a particular casting and tool. The MT cold chamber route serves aluminum, magnesium and copper alloys. Begin with tooling fit and the complete shot, then review the space and equipment required to move metal into the die and the casting out.

Treat the installed die as a complete assembly

MT3000 has a 2500x2500 mm platen and 1600x1600 mm tie bar opening. Compare both with the tooling drawing, retaining the mounting plates, slide mechanisms and permanent projections. The mould height range is 750-1600 mm. Measure the actual closed stack between its mounting faces rather than using only the cavity depth. Explain how the tool will be loaded and where lifting equipment approaches it. The insertion path, final operating position and connection access can impose different spatial requirements. Show cooling manifolds and ejection interfaces in their production positions, including any items fitted after loading. A tool transfer should include its current mounting details and the changes under consideration. This information makes the fit review useful to installation and operation as well as initial machine comparison.

Avoid using final casting weight as the entire shot

For MT3000, the injection plunger diameter range is 140-180 mm and aluminum injection weight is 34-68 KG. The relevant metal requirement includes the runner and other feed system elements in addition to the component. Explain the alloy and gating concept when presenting that estimate. A reference stated for aluminum should remain associated with that material during comparisons. The injection unit lists 2100 KN force and 1300 mm stroke. Review these with the proposed plunger arrangement and cavity design as a connected configuration. Highlight features that shape the filling task, such as long thin sections, deep ribs and junctions between different wall thicknesses. If the mould is still being designed, label the preliminary inputs so the discussion can identify what needs further tooling development.

Create a removal study that includes the handler

MT3000 clamping stroke is 1400 mm, while ejection stroke is 280 mm. Draw the tool opening and the casting at release, then add the handling device and its withdrawal path. The feed system may extend the removal envelope beyond the final trimmed component. Show that full assembly alongside slides, fittings and the opposing die face. Sprayer access should be evaluated separately, since preparing the die involves reaching surfaces that may not lie along the extractor route. A sequence sketch can show which device occupies the open area and where it waits at other times. Describe the discharge point and any subsequent conveying or trimming operation. Existing handling equipment should come with reach, mounting and connection information so its role can be considered in the complete layout.

Allow for service and material transfer around the outline

The MT3000 dimensions are 16.5x4.4x4.8 m, with a listed machine weight of 220000 KG. Share the relevant outline and weight information during the site review and identify the installation route. A production cell also needs furnace access, ladling space, a discharge area and room to maintain the equipment. Plan temperature control and release agent connections around accessible routes rather than treating the remaining gaps as service space. The motor power is 160 KW; the selected peripherals contribute additional utility requirements. An MT3000 quotation request should contain the material, component revision, full die envelope and complete shot estimate. Add a floor plan with fixed obstructions and retained machinery marked so the discussion addresses the actual production area and its constraints. Identify the drawings that govern the tool envelope and the drawings that govern the final component. Keeping both references in the enquiry helps separate installation constraints from casting geometry while allowing changes to either to be followed through the configuration discussion.
